Fits nice, easy to remove to clean and you basically don't know it's there unless you need to remove it. A UV filter is a must have for any lens in your camera bag. I've always been happy with the Tiffen products and this one does not dissapoint.
I'm using it on a Vixia HG21 Canon HD camcorder Highly recommend it. Good quality product that does the job. No complaints.
Thankfully, the lense itself was not scratched. I don't know how it left the factory like that. The Tiffen 46mm UV Filter does its job, after I cleaned it upon delivery.The filter was delivered horribly dirty. Fingerprints, smudges and obvious dirt & dust were very visable on both sides of the lense.
Right now, they are just screw on lens caps. I take some responsibility here as I basically thought that a uv filter was uv filter, as I had never had trouble with one before. Bottom line is that these filters were a waste of money for me. I bought 3 of these to protect the lenses for a new camera purchase. Things like the moon, or the sun reflecting on water will create a second ghost image of the bright object. I get reflections (shown as a double or ghost image) off of them in conditions where a bright object is present. Also, on 2 of the 3 filters, the glass is loose in the ring.
Arrived in short time and in perfect condition. Tiffen 46mm UV Protection FilterWhen you have a good camera you need to protect the lens or you could have to pay a lot more to fix it than to protect it. This was perfect.
